MEATBALLS WITH TOMATO SAUCE

INGREDIENTS:
  •     500g Minced beef
  •     4 medium sized onions
  •     2 Egg yolks
  •     480 Canned peeled tomatoes
  •     2 tsp Paprika
  •     1 bouquet Parsley
  •     2 branch Thyme
  •     Olive oil
  •     Salt
  •     Pepper
  •     Mozzarella and Parmigiano Reggiano
Cooking method
STEP 1
Peel and chop the onions.

STEP 2
Heat a sprinkle of olive oil in a pan.

STEP 3
Brown the onions with half of the chopped parsley. Season with paprika and mix.

STEP 4
Using a fork, mince/separate the minced beef in a salad bowl.

STEP 5
Mix the minced beef, onions and the egg yolk. Mix very well.

STEP 6
Form the meatballs in desired sizes.

STEP 7
Reheat a sprinkle of olive oil in the same pan as before.

STEP 8
Fry the meatballs for 10 minutes or until brown.

STEP 9
Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. Peel and chop the rest of the onions. Heat a sprinkle of olive oil in a saucepan.

STEP 10
Fry the onion with the thyme leaves, salt and pepper.

STEP 11
Add the peeled tomatoes and simmer for 20 minutes. Stir regularly.

STEP 12
Serve the meatballs topped with tomato sauce and sprinkled with the remaining chopped parsley, mozzarella and Parmigiano Reggiano.
