MARBLE CAKE RECIPE

A great pastry classic, the marbled chocolate and vanilla cake has everything to seduce the sweet tooth.

Not able to buy it at the bakery, during confinement, or if you just have extra time to kill, here is an amazing recipe for a marble cake with vanilla, chokolade and rock icing.

THE RECIPE FOR MARBLE CAKE

I am going to give you the recipe for the marble cake and walk you through each step of the process of making it.

STEP 1. THE VANILLA CAKE

INGREDIENTS
  •     65 gr of butter
  •     75 gr of sugar
  •     2 gr of fine salt
  •      ½ vanilla pod
  •     1 egg
  •     105 gr of T55 flour
  •     2.5 gr of baking powder
  •     100 gr of liquid cream
Cooking method

Mix the ointment butter with the sugar, salt and the scraped vanilla. Add the tempered egg then the sifted flour and baking powder, finish with the tempered liquid cream.

STEP 2. THE CHOCOLATE CAKE

INGREDIENTS

    65 gr of butter
    75 gr of sugar
    2 gr of fine salt
    1 egg
    100 gr of T55 flour
    2.5 gr of baking powder
    20 gr cocoa powder
    115 gr of liquid cream

Cooking method

Mix the ointment butter with the sugar and salt. Add the tempered eggs then the sifted flour, baking powder and cocoa, finish with the tempered liquid cream.

STEP 3. THE SYRUP

INGREDIENTS
  •     100 gr of water
  •     25 gr of sugar
Cooking method

Bring the water and sugar to a boil then stop the heat.

STEP 4. THE ICING

INGREDIENTS
  •     230 gr of milk chocolate
  •     35 gr of grapeseed oil
  •     40 gr of chopped almonds (Optional)
Cooking method

Roast the chopped almonds in the oven at 150 ° C for 15/20 minutes. Melt the chocolate then add the grape seed oil and finally add the roasted chopped almonds.

GATHERING OF THE MARBLE CAKE

 In a buttered and floured cake pan, poach the vanilla machine then the cocoa cake machine and finish with the vanilla cake machine until you reach ¾ of the mold.

Marble the cake with a knife tip by dipping it into the mold and forming a zig zag over the entire length.

Bake 35-40 minutes at 160 ° c. Soak the marble cake with a brush out of the oven. Once the cake is cold, cover it with rock frosting; place the cake on a wire rack, cover it with frosting preheated to 35°, and wait for the frosting to set before placing it on a dish.
