LONG JOHN SILVER’S TARTAR SAUCE


I figure if I’m going to include a clone in this book for Long John Silver’s Battered Fish , then I should also include something for you to dip it in. No need to go out and buy tartar sauce when it’s so easy to make a perfect copy at home that tastes better than any bottled stuff you will find in grocery stores. Just measure, stir, and chill.

½ cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
½ teaspoon white vinegar
¼ teaspoon dehydrated minced onion
⅛ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon onion powder
Pinch of dry ground mustard


Cooking method


1-Combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl.

2-Stir well, then cover and chill for 30 minutes before using. Stir again before using.
