McDonald’s introduced the blueberry pomegranate smoothie for its McCafé line of drinks in the spring of 2013 and the new flavor became a quick hit. The name of the drink mentions only two fruits but the drink is actually made with more than just blueberries and pomegranate juice. According to the ingredients list provided by McDonald’s, pineapple juice, apple juice, and raspberries are also on the team, added in there to help improve the flavor. Because they’re in the real thing, I’ve included those juices here, with apple raspberry juice added in super-sweet concentrated form to help offset the tartness of the pomegranate juice.

1 cup ice
½ cup frozen blueberries
½ cup frozen apple raspberry juice concentrate
¼ cup pomegranate juice
¼ cup pineapple juice
¼ cup vanilla yogurt

Cooking method

1-Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed for 30 seconds or until the ice is crushed and the drink is smooth.

2-Pour into a 16-ounce glass and add a straw.
